Everyday I go through a dozen or so blogs, just to see what other people are talking about. There is definitely a theme right now – how to survive this economic crisis. And more than anything else, the advice is how to survive EMOTIONALLY. If you have a business, one blog cautioned to watch your employees. They are under a lot of stress and accidents and workplace tensions will be at an all-time high.
Another blog cautioned on how to treat customers during this same time of emotional stress. Emotions are high and there could be a lot of concern about what the next shoe to drop will be.
There is one central theme. Stay strong. Be a leader. People will look to you for certainty, maybe even more than they look to you for answers.
It’s never been a better time to start a business. You don’t need to invent something new, you don’t need to come up with a brand new financial derivative that no one else can understand (in fact no one probably even wants to hear about that right now), you just need to be strong. The definition of success right now is being a leader and someone that others can trust and count. NOW is the time to build your business.
NOW is the time to inspire.
