Don’t Bother Reading This If It’s 2019

If there was a theme to 2018 tax planning, it’s this.

Change.

Don’t expect the same old things to work when it comes to tax planning starting this year.
Richard & I are also making some changes to our investment and business life. I’ve always liked the idea of different profit centers. Right now, we have 3. I want to expand that to 6 and increase the profitability of the others. For sure, two of them.

To do that, I need to make some time available. That’s one reason why I’m making a pretty big change to our tax practice. There is a second reason, too, that I’ll tell you about in a minute. First of all, here is the change.
On December 1, 2018 (Saturday), the price for private consultations goes up. That’s for one month. December 31, 2018 will be the last day I sell private consultations. From 1/1/2019 forward, I’m just going to work with our clients. They will still have the same unlimited consultations available with their USTaxAid Services and private consultations available with me at a discounted price.
I’m just not going to do this anymore with people outside our tax practice.
If you go to https://www.ustaxaid.com/consultation/ and buy a consultation now, before December 1, 2018, you’ll pay $500. On December 1, 2018, the price goes to $750. On January 1, 2019, the option goes away.
Gone. I’m not bringing it back for people outside our practice. After that date, if you want a private consultation with me, you’ll need to first become a client. Then we have a consultation and decide if it’s a good fit for both of us. But you have to make the commitment first.

When you sign up for a consultation before the end of the year, you will have one year from the sign-up to have your consultation. There are 5 appointment spots available every week. But it is first come, first served and they do book up, especially in busy times like right now. (The end of the year is always busiest for tax strategists.)
If this is something you’re considering, don’t wait. Go to https://www.ustaxaid.com/consultation/ and buy before the end of the year. If you’re not sure if it’s right for you, give Richard a call at 888-592-4769 or drop him an email at Richard@USTaxAid.com

I know that I’m going to get asked why I’m going to only work with clients. There is one big reason. The best strategies in the world don’t mean a thing if they aren’t properly implemented and then reported. There are three steps to good tax planning: strategy, implementation and compliance (tax reporting).
People get in trouble when they try to combine all the steps. For example, I guarantee there will be people trying to get us to just prepare their tax returns next spring. That’s because they’ll suddenly find out they owe thousands, maybe tens of thousands extra in taxes. “The tax preparer did something wrong!”
Nope. You did.

You didn’t plan. You can’t plan an event AFTER the event is over. Can you imagine? Let’s say you’re getting married next month, but you’re too busy to plan the wedding until spring. How do you think that will work out? Having an event with no planning and then doing the planning. Obviously, that’s a silly example.
Don’t be silly. You HAVE to plan ahead.

But it doesn’t end there. The best plan in the world doesn’t work if it’s never implemented. Or if it is implemented and the tax preparer doesn’t follow it, then you’re still screwed.
I want to spend my time and energy working with people who are committed to their own success. I can’t want this more than you want it for yourself.

I totally understand if you don’t want to change unless you have to. But if you decide to, then fully commit.
Meanwhile, like I said, if you want a consultation only, take action now. Quickly. They go away 1/1/2019 unless you are a client.

There are a lot of changes coming when it comes to taxes. We’re going to be making some changes as well. Want to follow the journey? Make sure you stay signed in to receive emails and read the blogs at USTaxAid.com. You’ll find tax updates and alerts plus some real-life stories of what works and what doesn’t.

This holiday season is often a time of reflection. What do you value most? Where do you want to put your time and energy? What works? What doesn’t work? If one of the things that isn’t working is a feeling of being out of control of your finances and taxes, then we might be able to help.
Give Richard a call at 888-592-4769 if you’re ready to make a change. Maybe we can help.
